Patrick Hruby Covers Strategy+Business Magazine’s Best Books of the Summer
Why judge a book by its cover when you can judge its contents in illustrated form? Patrick Hruby recently returned to Strategy+Business magazine to create a digital slideshow on the ten must-read business books for the summer. Titles ranged from Allison Schrager’s “An Economist Walks Into a Brothel” to “The Future of Capitalism” by David J. Lynch, with others covering how business relates to “Game of Thrones,” how to actually do good while doing well, turning bad meetings around, and how being a multihyphenate might be the key to success. Hruby’s signature use of flat color, shapes and quirky characters cleverly lighten up a topic that otherwise might be mistaken for dense, daunting, or worse—boring.
Hruby worked with art director Laura Eitzen on the project after successfully completing both their latest cover and the feature article illustration.
