Matt Johnstone is joining us from London, Matt’s work is frequently seen in The Guardian or is created and posted to Instagram in real time during Arsenal football matches. Possessed of a deviant sense of humor and a penchant for detail that calls “Where’s Waldo” to mind, Matt hand-draws immersive scenes that invite viewers to stay a while. His protean abilities serve a wide range of advertising and editorial clients and project types, including animations, illustrations, and murals, with Matt especially drawn to interactive assignments. Drawing live at events or creating visual play-by-plays requires the kind of spontaneous instinct that later informs his studio work.
